PRIVACY POLICY — SMART FILE MANAGER

About this policy

Smart File Manager is provided by Aktyva konsaltynh technologies. This policy describes data handling in the current Android application. For privacy questions or requests, contact mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com.

Information the app accesses

Smart File Manager uses Android’s folder picker to access folders you choose. Depending on the permissions you grant and the capabilities of the selected storage provider, the app can read and modify files within those locations. It retains folder access so you can return to connected locations without choosing them again.

The app reads file and folder names, document identifiers and content URIs, file types, sizes, modification dates, and information about supported operations. It reads file contents when needed to copy or move files, display image previews, or calculate SHA-256 hashes for duplicate detection. Search and storage analysis inspect selected accessible folders and their subfolders. Unreadable folders and unknown file sizes can limit results.

How information is used

The app processes this information to browse, search, sort and organize files; create folders; rename files individually or in batches; copy, move and delete items; display previews; identify duplicate contents; calculate storage breakdowns; and prepare storage reports. Duplicate hashes are calculated on the device. Scan results and hashes are held in app memory rather than saved as a permanent scan database.

Information stored on your device

The app saves connected location details, favorite file and folder metadata, the last browsed folder identifier, display and sorting preferences, and recent activity in private app preferences on your device. Saved metadata can include names, content URIs, file types, sizes and modification dates.

Activity history contains timestamps, operation descriptions, outcomes and scan counts. It retains up to the 200 most recent entries. It does not keep a separate copy of your file contents.

Developer collection, advertising and tracking

The inspected implementation does not include accounts, developer-operated data uploads, advertising, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs. It does not send your files, search terms, scan results or saved preferences to the developer. Although the Android application declares Internet permission, the inspected active application code does not implement network transmission to a developer service.

Sharing and external services

When you open a file with another app, Smart File Manager grants that app read access to the selected file. When you share files, Android passes the selected file references and read permission to the receiving app you choose.

You can also export a storage report through Android’s sharing interface. The report includes the analysis time, selected location names and identifiers, measured storage totals, file counts, unknown-size and read-error counts, category totals, and folder identifiers and totals. Review this information before sharing it.

Selected folders may be supplied by an Android document provider, including a cloud storage provider installed on your device. Accessing or changing those files can involve that provider’s systems and network services. Receiving apps and storage providers handle information under their own policies. The app uses Android and Compose components for its interface and file access; no advertising or analytics SDK was identified in the inspected dependencies.

Android backup

Android backup is enabled in the application configuration. Depending on your device, system settings and backup service, locally saved app preferences may be included in operating-system backup or device transfer. These processes are controlled by Android and your backup provider rather than a Smart File Manager server.

Security

The app relies on Android’s folder permission system and private app storage for saved preferences. File sharing and opening use Android read-permission grants. Android error logging records exception types and stack frames while deliberately excluding exception messages and file paths. No automatic developer log-upload mechanism was identified.

No app-specific encryption for saved preferences or network transport is implemented in the inspected code. Protection of transfers performed by external storage providers, receiving apps or system backup depends on those services. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and your controls

Connected locations, favorites and preferences remain saved until changed or removed, or until the app’s local data is cleared. Activity entries remain until you clear history or newer entries replace them after the 200-entry limit. In-memory search and scan information is not persisted as a permanent database.

You can remove favorites in Favorites, clear activity using Clear history, and disconnect a location in Settings. Disconnecting releases the app’s retained access to that location and removes its connected-location entry. It does not delete the location’s files or automatically erase separately saved favorites, history or other preferences.

You can use Android’s app settings to clear local app data. Uninstalling normally removes local app data, while backup copies and restoration depend on your Android settings and backup provider. Clearing app data or uninstalling does not delete files stored in your selected folders or copies already shared with other apps.

File deletion and privacy requests

File deletion acts on the selected storage provider. Smart File Manager has no recycle bin; treat deletion as permanent. Copies exported, shared or backed up elsewhere must be managed through the relevant app or service.

For privacy questions or deletion requests, email mateuszbednarski696@gmail.com. The inspected app has no developer-held account or server database of your files to delete remotely. Local app records must be removed using the controls described above. If you email the privacy contact, your email address and the information you include will be available to the recipient and the email services involved. A specific retention period for privacy correspondence has not been established in the available information.

Children’s privacy

Smart File Manager is a file-management utility. The supplied information does not specify an intended age group. The inspected app has no age-entry, account-registration or child-specific data-collection feature. Files selected by a user may contain personal information about children and are processed through the same file-management functions described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its data practices. Review the policy accompanying the version you use. Questions about updates can be sent to the privacy contact below.
